WHERE IS THE KANSAS CITY POWER & LIGHT DISTRICT?

The Kansas City Power & Light District is a walkable downtown neighborhood in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri. Located between T-Mobile Center and the Kansas City Convention Center, the District brings together restaurants, bars, live entertainment, shopping, apartments, fitness, grocery, and everyday lifestyle amenities all within a few blocks.

Whether you’re visiting for a concert, game, happy hour, weekend brunch, or a night out, the District is designed to be easy to explore on foot and serves as a central gathering place for both locals and visitors year-round. Popular destinations here nclude KC Live!, the Midland Theatre, No Other Pub by Sporting KC, Cosentino’s Market, and dozens of restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues.

Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is approximately 20 minutes away.

WHAT IS KC LIVE!?

Kansas City Live!, also known as KC Live!, is located directly across the street from T-Mobile Center, in the heart of The Kansas City Power & Light District. The Midwest’s premier dining and entertainment destination, KC Live! features world-class restaurants, taverns and night spots and is open year-round offering a variety of events including concerts, festivals, watch parties and more. 

KC Live! destinations include: Johnny’s Tavern, Pizza Bar, County Road Ice House, Guy Fieri's Dive & Taco Joint, McFadden's Sports Saloon, Besos y Abrazos, Mosaic Lounge, Living Room, Howl at the Moon, PBR Big Sky, and Shark Bar. KC Live! features a full-concert stage where the country’s most premiere musicians and bands perform weekly during the summer and for special events throughout the year.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

Multiple parking garages and surface lots are located within and surrounding the Kansas City Power & Light District, making it easy to visit whether you’re stopping by for dinner, shopping, a concert.

Guests visiting the District can park in the KC Live! garage, on 13th Street between Grand and Walnut with parking validation available at select locations throughout the District. Event rates may vary during major downtown events.

For the most convenient arrival experience, guests can also utilize the Aristocrat Motors Valet located in the heart of the District on 14th street.

CAN I VALET MY VEHICLE?

 Yes! Aristocrat Motors Valet is located on 14th Street between Main & Walnut and is available daily starting at 11:00 AM. Cost: $10 (subject to change on event days; updated pricing will be posted on-site).

WHAT ARE THE DISTRICT'S HOURS OF OPERATION?

The Kansas City Power & Light District is an active neighborhood 24 hours a day. Most bars and restaurants are open until 3am. Please refer to specific tenant websites for their hours of operation.

IS KC LIVE! WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Yes. KC Live! has several ramps for easy access from the street and the KC Live! parking garage (entrance at 13th St & Grand Blvd). If in the garage, take the elevator located in the southwest corner of the garage up to KC Live!. If entering from the street, take the access ramp located adjacent to County Road Ice House on Walnut Street, just north of 14th St. Once inside of KC Live!, there are two ramps to access the four levels of the KC Live! plaza area.

ARE CONCERTS AND OTHER EVENTS IN THE DISTRICT AND KC LIVE! FREE?

The District hosts a variety of free and ticketed events, from festivals to concerts, to parties and conventions. Admission and restrictions vary for each event. Please visit our calendar of EVENTS for details on upcoming events at the Kansas City Power & Light District.

ARE THE EVENTS IN KC LIVE! OUTSIDE? ARE THEY RAIN OR SHINE?

Yes. KC Live! is an open-air live music venue, surrounded by restaurants and nightlife establishments. It is covered by a translucent canopy that lets light in but keeps the elements out! It is also equipped with large overhead fans and heaters, benches and seating, fire pits and more. Seating is limited, so arrive early for events to claim the best seats! Lawn chairs are not permitted in KC Live!. Extreme weather may result in the postponement or cancellation of an event. Please check the event calendar on this website for details, should such weather occur.

DOES KC LIVE! HAVE A CODE OF CONDUCT?

Yes. We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests. We ask that all guests conduct themselves in accordance with our Guest Code of Conduct, which prohibits the following:

- Outside food or beverage, including alcohol. 

- Weapons, guns, mace, pepper spray, or other items that present a risk of harm to person or property. If you enter the district with a weapon in your possession, you are subject to arrest/charge for trespassing and confiscation of any weapon.

- Metal Cans

- Selfie sticks. 

- Lazer Pointers

- Hard coolers

- Drones

- Backpacks

- Clothing with offensive or profane language

- Pets

- Banners that interfere with event or that have political messages

- Illegal, disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior.

- Smoking and vaping indoors. Please use designated outdoor smoking areas.

- Oversized bags or purses larger than 12x12.” KC Live! reserves the right to inspect all items entering KC Live!

- Photography or video recordings for commercial use without prior approval by management.

- Solicitation or loitering.
