ARE CONCERTS AND OTHER EVENTS IN THE DISTRICT AND KC LIVE FREE?
You've heard it right! The District hosts a variety of events, from family days to concerts, to parties and conventions. There a few events where there will be a small cover charge, but the majority of all the events held in the District are free. Some events also have an age limit, and are only for guests 21 and older, so be sure to read the details of each event carefully on the event calendar of this website. Please note that events held at individual venues may have different restrictions and charges.
ARE THE EVENTS IN KC LIVE OUTSIDE? ARE THEY RAIN OR SHINE?
Yes. KC Live! is an open-air live music venue, surrounded by restaurants and nightlife establishments. It is covered by a translucent canopy that lets light in but keeps the elements out! It is also equipped with large overhead fans and heaters. Extreme weather may result in the postponement or cancellation of an event. Please check the event calendar on this website for details, should such weather occur.
CAN I HOLD A PRIVATE EVENT IN THE POWER & LIGHT DISTRICT, KC LIVE, OR ANY OF ITS VENUES?

CAN I VALET MY VEHICLE?

DOES KC LIVE! HAVE A CODE OF CONDUCT?
Yes. Please know the KC Live! outdoor area has a code of conduct: patrons must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid ID for entry; no loitering; no weapons; no panhandling; no solicitation; no disorderly conduct; no bicycles or skateboards; no professional photography cameras; no backpacks. The following is not permitted under the KC Live! dress code: profanity on clothing; sleeveless shirts on men; sweat pants or full sweat suits. Management reserves the right to deny entry or remove any individual who does not comply with the code of conduct. Please note that the dress codes of individual venues may vary. WHAT ARE THE DISTRICT'S HOURS OF OPERATION?
The Kansas City Power & Light District is an active neighborhood 24 hours a day. Most bars and restaurants are open until 3 am. Please refer to an individual tenant's website for their hours of operation.
WHAT IS KC LIVE?
KC Live!, located directly across the street from the Sprint Center, in the heart of The KC Power and Light District, is the Midwest’s premier dining and entertainment destination. Featuring world-class restaurants, taverns and night spots KC Live! is where Kansas City goes to play.
Destinations include: Johnny’s Tavern, Pizza Bar, Gordon Biersch Brewery & Restaurant, Raglan Road Irish Pub, Lucky Strike Lanes, Maker's Mark Bourbon House & Lounge, McFadden's Sports Saloon, Tengo Sed Cantina, Angels Rock Bar, Mosaic Lounge, Living Room, Howl at the Moon, PBR Big Sky Cowboy Bar, Shark Bar, FUEGO and Flying Saucer. KC Live! features a full-concert stage where the country’s most premiere musicians and bands perform weekly during the summer and for special events throughout the year.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
The District and the City have multiple parking garages and surface lots within and surrounding the District. $2 parking is available all day, every day when you dine or shop in the District, in the KC Live! parking garage. Simply have your parking ticket validated before the end of your visit. WHERE IS THE KANSAS CITY POWER & LIGHT DISTRICT?
The Kansas City Power & Light District is Kansas City's newest, most exciting neighborhood development. It’s located in the heart of Downtown, between Grand Boulevard and Baltimore Street, and 12th Street and Truman Road. The District spans eight blocks of new restaurants, entertainment, nightlife and shopping. It is easily accessible from all major highways and attracts millions of visitors each year. The District is about 20 minutes south of the Kansas City International Airport (MCI) and less than 8 minutes south of the Downtown Airport.
