KC Beer Fest was founded in 2007 by the Kansas City CARE Clinic (formerly Kansas City Free Health Clinic) and the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City. Over 16,000 beer connoisseurs and first-timers have attended KC Beer Fest over the years, sampling hundreds of craft brews from around the world.  In 2013, Flying Saucer brought KC Beer Fest home to the Kansas City Power & Light District. The festival has been a huge success and is viewed by many as the premier craft beer festival in not only Kansas City, but the Midwest.
